werd in 1567 verbannen in verband met het aanhangen van de Reformatie en is naar Emden (Oost-Friesland) gevlucht (zie Brandt - Historie van Enkhuizen- 1666 blz. 100). Cornelis Brouwer mede Balling om de Gereformeerde Religie heeft Ao. 1572 hem neffens syn twee broeders soonen (zie PAR0022 en PAR0024) manlijk gequeten doen Burgermeesteren met een vendel knechten tegens voorgaande resolutie en gesloten accoord met de Burgerie een vlieboot met Ammunitie van oorlogh op den middag meenden te laten uytgaan, gelijk Meteren verhaalt. Hij woont 1570 buiten de Zuiderpoort "in 't Brouwhuys" en dan genoemd als een der burgers waarmede Sonoy contact opneemt namens de Prins (Brandt Deel I blz. 100,103,111,117 en 136). Met zijn vrouw Ebel Jansdr. als eerste echtpaar ingeschreven in lidmatenlijst van november 1572.
