Piet is in de oorlogsjaren gedwongen tewerkgesteld in Duitsland. Hij heeft daarvoor een paspoort moeten aanvragen. Paspoortaanvragen zijn kaartjes met daarop een foto van de aanvrager en een aantal persoonsgegevens van de aanvrager en gegevens over de aanvraag. 'Bijzonderheden AB' en 'Betaald fl. kosteloos', AB betekent Arbeidsbureau voor een paspoort uitgegeven in opdracht van het Gewestelijk Arbeidsbureau.
