This Hans Funk (?ML264) was a teacher in 1671 at Streichenberg and probably a grandfather of the Heinrich Funk (ML2641.2) of Indian Creek, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who was instrumental in having the Martyrs Mirror translated and printed at Ephrata and whose will was proved in 1760 in Salford Township, Montgomery County.t14 Martin's brother, Hans Funk (ML2672), immigrated with the 1710 group and by 1739lived in Orange County, Virginia. Jacob Funk (ML2676) had 300 acres surveyed on May 29, 1718, in present Manheim Township, Lancaster County, patented on May 15, 1735, and in 1729 was a tavern keeper in Lancaster County.115 In 1735 he purchased 2,030 acres which now include Strasburg on the north branch of the Shenandoah River, Virginia. His will was proved December 3, 1746, in Frederick County, Virginia. Sangmeister often mentions two of the sons of this Jacob
