Notes about Jacob Sietzes Adema


ADEMA, Jacob S., age 70 years, of Lynden, passed away Wednesday, March 21, (1945) in a Bellingham hospital. He was born in The Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of 16 years and to Lynden in 1926. He was a member of the First Christian reformed Church and was active in church work.

Survivors beside his wife Susan, are three sons, Simon, Bellflower, Calif., Henry, Seattle, Hilbert, Everett; five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Privara, San Diego, Mrs. Harriet Bull, Bellingham, Mrs. Johanna Sweegman, Sumas, Mrs. Jeannette Van Leeuwen, Everett, and Mrs. Betty Van Ry, Renton; nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 26, at 2 p.m. from the First Christian Reformed Church of Lynden, with Rev. D. Hollebeek officiating. Interment in Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of Knapp & Knapp Funeral Home of Lynden.
