Robert P. Bob Dahl passed away in his sleep May 26, 2013, in Auburn, where he had resided for 63 years. He was 87.

He was born June 13, 1925, in Chowchilla, and he attended high school in San Andreas and served in the Navy from 1944 to 46. He worked at McClellan AFB as an aircraft mechanic, was an active member of the Elks Lodge and was a hunter safety instructor. Mr. Dahl married Doris Bird in 1950 in Jackson. After 42 years of marriage, she died in 1992.

He is survived by his son, Don Dahl; daughter, Kathy Sanders; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He had requested to be cremated with no following services. His ashes will be placed in the family plot at the Mokelumne Hill Protestant Cemetery.
