Notes about Theodorus Franciscus "Theo" Bloem

Theodorus Franciscus (Theo) Bloem is de tweede zoon van Frederik Johannes Bloem en Alida Margaretha Stiphout. Hij werd op 16 juni 1872 geboren aan de Zijlweg B No. 8 te Overveen. Hij vertrekt op 7 maart 1895 naar Haarlem, waar hij zich vestigt in de Nassaustraat 9 zwart. Hij trouwt op 4 september 1895 in Haarlem met Anna Maria Beelen. Theo is broodverkoper van beroep. In de Nassaustraat worden hun 4 kinderen geboren, waarvan er twee op jeugdige leeftijd overlijden. In februari 1907 overlijdt ook zijn vrouw. Op 13 november 1907 trouwt Theo voor de tweede maal, nu met Geertruida Wilhelmina Boerrigter. Ze krijgen nog een zoon en een dochter.
Op 6 april 1932 verhuizen ze vanuit de Nassaustraat 9 zwart naar de Nassaulaan 68 A, om de hoek dus. Theo verkoopt ook hier zijn brood.
Ook zijn tweede vrouw overlijdt en wel op 13 augustus 1937. Hij verhuist dan naar de Zijlstraat 51 rood te Haarlem. In de oorlog
(sept. 1943) woont hij ook nog korte tijd aan het Westerhoutpark 18-20. Vanaf 20 oktober 1943 is hij weer terug in de Zijlstraat 51 rood. Op 2 augustus1960 woont hij in de Reitzstraat 97 en tenslotte vanaf 12 mei 1961 in de Hagestraat 10 te Haarlem. Daar overlijdt hij op 24 juni 1964.
