Belfry Residents Wed in Ceremony At Salt Lake City
Belfry, April 17. - Miss Dora Hoke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hoke of Belfry, and Mr. Clarence Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. O. Jackson of Belfry, were united in marriage in the L. D. S. temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 31. The bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1942 and the bridegroom graduated with the class of 1935. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Jackson of Salt Lake City and Mr. William Jackson attended the ceremony. Mr. Jackson, who is superintendent of the local L. D. S. Sunday school, attended a church conference while in Salt Lake City. He and Mrs. Jackson returned this week.

BELFRY - Dora Ann Hoke Jackson, 83, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned home to her Father in heaven on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007.
Dora was born to Jesse Lee Hoke and Alta Copple Hoke on Jan. 26, 1924, in Washoe, Mont. She attended school in Washoe and graduated from Belfry High School. Dora married Clarence Jackson on March 31, 1943, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. They settled on their farm near Belfry. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, serving her family, church and community. Dora was delighted when her children and grandchildren would come to visit, and they were delighted with her homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and brownies. She could spend hours loving the babies. Dora was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lee, Bud and Chuck; one sister, Lilly Brown; four grandchildren, Gina Dabel, Brent Jackson, Kimberly Kuchinski and Ashley Jackson; and a son-in-law, Bob Quidor. Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Belfry; three sisters, Thelma Bailey, Alta Yates and Mickey Thiel; her 10 children, Diane (John) Dabel of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Joanne (Alex) Sutherland of Filer, Idaho, Phyllis (Lowell) Connerton of Big Timber, David (Sally) Jackson of Orofino, Idaho, Alta Quidor of Venita, Ore., Doris (John) Kuchinski of Redlands, Calif., Richard (Colleen) Jackson of Belfry, Victor (Liz) Jackson of Belfry, Jay (Susy) Jackson of Powell, Wyo., and Delilah (Kevin) Slade of Wendell, Idaho; 50 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in the Belfry Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be Friday evening, Sept. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m., also at the Belfry LDS Church. Interment will be in the Belfry Cemetery. Smith-Olcott Funeral Chapel of Red Lodge is in charge of the arrangements.
