Mathew Smith was the son of Mathew Smith of Corsham, Wiltshire and Sibell Curtys of Henley on Thames; and the husband of Jane, daughter of John Harding of "Branton"[1] [2].
Matthew Smith married Joan/Jane Hardinge on 14 Sep 1623 at Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire[3].
Children of the marriage of Mathew and Joan/Jane Smyth were baptised at Corsham through to 1645[4].
Mathew was noted in the will of his mother, Sibill Smith of Corsham, Wiltshire, the will made on 18 Oct 1641 and proved on 13 Jan 1641/1642[5].
