Mrs. Bernard (Josephine) Schulting, 64, of East Dubuque, Illinois, died at 12:50 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 1949, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, after a long illness. The body was at theEast Dubuque Funeral Home, where friends called after 7 p.m., Thursday, August 18. Funeral services were held at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, August 20, from the funeral home and at 9 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Menominee, Illinois, with the Rev. J.M. Lonergan celebrating the requiem mass. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She was survived by her husband, Bernard; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Mulgrew, of East Dubuque, Ill.; one son, Oswald Schulting, of East Dubuque, Ill.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. John (Christina) Welter, Mrs. Wanilla Graham, and Miss Frances Roth, all of Dubuque, Ia.; and three brothers, Nicholas Roth, of Sinsinawa, Wis., and Leo Roth and William Roth, both of Dubuque, Ia. She was preced in death by one brother, Al Roth, and her parents.
