Relatives and friends from New York will attend the marriage in Christ Church,
Baltimore, today, of Miss Aileen de la Tour Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Judson Clark, to Joseph M. Gazzam, son of Mrs. Joseph M. Gazzam and
the late Senator Gazzam of Philadelphia. A reception will follow at the
Belvedere. Mr. Gazzam is a nephew of Mrs. Edward William Robinson and of
Mrs. George A. Hurd of this city.
A WEDDING in Baltimore on April 14 of much interest to relatives and friends in
New York will be that of Miss Aileen de la Tour Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Judson Clark of that city, to Joseph M. Gazzam, son of Mrs. Joseph M.
Gazzam and the late Senator Gazzam of Philadelphia. It will take place in Christ
Church, Baltimore, and the ceremony will be followed by a reception at the
Belvedere.
Mr. Gazzam is a nephew of Mrs. Edward William Robinson and of Mrs. George
A. Hurd of this city. He is a great-great-grandson of Baron Frederick Eugene
Francis deBeelen, first Minister to the United States from Belgium. Miss Clark is
a granddaughter of the late Louis de la Tour of Lynchburg, Va., and a direct
descendant of Charles de la Tour, first Governor of Nova Scotia.
Mrs. John Roche Howland of Chicago, the former Miss Alicia Clark, will be
matron of honor for her sister. The other attendants will be Mrs. Alexander
Wolfe, Miss Olivia Gazzam of Philadelphia, sister of the bridegroom; Meredith
Todd, Marianna E. Robinson, Dorothy Haxall and Elizabeth La G. Burns.
Alexander Van Pelt will be best man for Mr. Gazzam. The ushers will be Arthur
M. Hurd, a cousin of the bridegroom; MIlton C. Baldridge, Robert Perry Redgers
and F. Abbot Ingalls of New York; Philip L. Leidy, John H. Blye Jr. Farnham.
