Obit 15 feb 1935: Lassen County Pioneer called in SF, aged 75 (b. 1860ss) after an illness of 3 years. Asher came to Susanville when a young man, employed by Mrr Greehn, later marrying a daugher of his employer and went into partnership with his employer. Asher was later joined by his brother and both went into partnership. He is joint owner of the property occupied by the Humm, Variety Store at the old MacMarr Store on Main St, and a building used as a warehouse now occupied by the local creamery. Following the death of his wife and brother, he moved to SF. He was a member of the Odd Fellow and Masonic Lodges.
from the Susanville historian from the Lassen Advocate, 23 July 1891 that Wm Asher (bro of Morris) went HOME to Streiheim, Silesia, Poland to visit his mother and other relatives on 7 month trip and now returned with his sister Elisa (misspelling of Louise;Louisa).
