10 July 1884 - Mrr N. Goldstein and Miss F. Goldstein, brother-in-law and niece of Morris and William Asher arrived from Oroville last Monday. Miss Goldstein will make an extended visit.

Wm. Asher returned from a seven months trip to his old home at Strehiem, Silesiaa;Silesiaa;Silesia, Polandnn, Germany, whither he went on a visit to his mother and other relatives. His sister, Miss Elisa Asher accompanied him on his return. He says times are hard in that country now and business is generally over done. During the trip he visited Thalheim, Laviack, Salzbrum, the two latter noted bathing resorts, also Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany and Breshian. He says the Germans are pretty well suited with their present Emperor. The people there are always pleased to have Americans visit their country and consider the people from this Republic leaders in everything they undertake.
