Patent: Application filed June 14, 1920. Serial No. 388,951. Be it hereby known that we, SIEGFRIED SHIREK and WILLIAM H. FENTON. citizens of the USA, and residents of Portland, in the county of Multnomah and State of Oregon, have invented a new and useful Combination Automobile-Bed, of which the following is a specification. Our invention relates more particularly to camp equipment to be used with automobiles. The object of our invention is to provide an exceedingly simple and efficient combination automobile bed and tent having a minimum of: separate parts which may be set up or knocked down with a. small expenditure of physical effort or skill. A further object of our invention is to utilize the luggage carrier as a seat and to provide a folding table for use when the bed is not in position.

The San Francisco call., April 15, 1897, Page 9; Shirek & Shirek furniture & carpet dealers of 747 Market St, San Francisco, California, USA are bankrupt. Shirek has sold to I.N.Walters. Liabilities of $8500 and claims has assets of $6000 but likely $2500. Creditors asked what had happend to the $2000 from first insurance from the fire a few weeks ago, and Sigfried Shirek told them it went out on debts. $800 went to Shirek's wife and $1100 to a relative.Shirek had agreed to pay his main creditors when the insurance money was collected, but before they could see him, he disposed of the funds. Heaviest creditors are D.N.&E Walters ($1100), J.Hoey, and Sloane & Co.
