'William Alwood BUTLER Former Butler resident Willilam George Alwood Jr. 68, died Thrusday in the Kern Medical Arts Building Bakersfield, Calif.
Mr. Alwood was born in Butler on April 10, 1924 the son of the late William and May (Dailey) Alwood. He was a retired printer and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Vicky Fosdick of Shafter Calif.; four brothers Samuel Alwood of Angola, Howard Alwood of St Joe, and Raymond and Robert Alwood, both of Butler, and three sisters; Mrs. Anna Obendorf, Mrs. Emily Tressler and Miss Margaret Alwood all of Butler.
Services will be a 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Johnson Funeral Home, Butler. Rev. John Wortinger will officiate. Burial in the Butler Cemetery will follow cremation.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.'
