'Robert Alwood [handwritter: Batter] March 14, 1926 - July 28, 1984 Robert Alwood, 58, of Butler, died Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in DeKalb Memorial Hospital. Born in Butler, Mr. Alwood was the son of William and Mary Dailey Alwood. On Aug.20, 1967, in Fort Wayne, he married Beulah Evans who survives. He was an inspector with DCASD-ITT, a member of the Butler American Legion and a ham operator. He is survived by one stepdaughter; four stepsons; three brothers, includingSamuel of Angola; three sisters; and 15 step-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral home, Butler. The Rev. Russell Stevens officiated. Burial was in Butler Cemetery.'
