'Evert H. and Alvena Schneiderman Family
"Evert H. Schneiderman, son of Henry and Hattie Schneiderman, was born in Lincoln County on a farm located five miles south of Lennox, on October 1, 1897. He attended Sunnyside School and grew to manhood in Grant Township. He moved to afarm one and one half miles east of Lennox and was engaged in farming there for several years.
Alvena C. Meier, daughter of Conrad and Louisa Meier, was born in Turner County June 10, 1892. She and her parents moved to Lennox when she was nine years old. She attended Lennox schools and graduated from high school in 1910. Shealso attended Dakota Wesleyn in Mitchell and Hope College in Michigan. In the early thirties she suffered a physical affliction and was partially disabled. A correct diagnosis of her illness was not made until the later thirties atwhich time she underwent surgery at the Mayo Clinic, from which she never fully recovered.
Evert Schneiderman and Alvena Meier were united in marriage June 1922. A son, Harold E., was born in August 1923.
The Schneidermans moved into Lennox in 1925 and resided with Alvena's father, then a widower. During this time Mr. Schneiderman did farm work, hiring out by the day.
The family moved to a farm located northeast of Lennox in 1935 and were engaged in farming for three years. They then moved to an acreage located one mile east of Lennox.
Mr. and Mrs. Schneiderman were faithful members of the Second Reformed Church in Lennox. Mrs. Schneiderman passed awaay in January 1943.
Mr. Schneiderman married Martha Timmerman in July 1944. They resided on the acreage until 1948 at which time they moved to Sioux Falls. While in Sioux Falls Evert was employed as a custodian at a bank.
After suffering a stroke and becoming partially disabled, Mr. Schneiderman entered the Good Samaritan Center in July of 1981. He passed away there in May 1983. Evert and Alvena are buried in the Lennox Cemetery. - pg. 658.

On June 22, 1922 he was united in marriage to Alvina C. Meier at Lennox. They lived in the Lennox community their entire married life. She preceded him in death on January 24, 1943.
On July 19, 1944 he was united in marriage to Martha Timmerman at Lennox. T hey made thier home in Lennox until 1948 when they moved to Sioux Falls. He was employed as a custodian at Northwestern National Bank for 15 years. He became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on July 7, 1981.
Besides his parents and wife, Alvina, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Janet Schneiderman, on August 21, 1964.
Ed died suddenly at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on May 17, 1983, having attained the age of 85 years, seven months and 16 days.
Survivors include his widow, Martha, Sioux Falls; one son: Harold Schneiderman of rural Lennox; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother: John W. Schneiderman of rural Lennox; four sisters: Mrs. Remda Elcock, Mrs. AbbieKnock and Mrs. Jennie Cavin, all of Lennox, and Mrs. Hattie Nuttbrock of Willow Lake."
