"in 1911. He worked for area farmers until 1931 when he married Ella, daughter of Hiram and Hattie Heidebrink Jansen. Ella had graduated from the local school in 1926 and she was working as a rural school teacher. They lived near Magnolia, Minnesota until 1941 when they purchased a quarter section from Enno's brother, John. It was just north of the Hope Reformed Church. Later Harlyn farmed it and today Harly's son, Douglas is on this farm.
One of Enno's favorite stories was when his name made the local papers when he turned 19 on Nov. 19, 1919.
Enno and Ella were faithful members of the Hope Reformed Church and enjoyed having the pastors that served there, over the years, as their next door neighbors.
