'Funeral services for Jennie M. Sleper, 72, of Titonka were held Wednesday, June 14 at Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka. Rev. Dennis Redeker conducted the services. Interment was in Ramsey Reformed Church Cemetery.Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home of Titonka was in charge of arrangements.
Jennie Margaret Sleper was born April 12, 1923 at Titonka to George and Anna Swalve Rippentrop. She died Sunday, June 11, 1995 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City.
She received her education at German Valley and Titonka. Albert E. (Bo) Sleper and Jennie were united in marriage March 31, 1943. The couple farmed northeast of Titonka until 1946 and then moved to a farm near Lakota. In 1967 theymoved northwest of Titonka and farmed there until 1980 when they retired and moved into Titonka.
Jennie was a member of Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka, was active in the church choir, a former officer of the RCW and belonged to the Ruth Circle. She was also a member of the Titonka Womes's [sic] Club.
She enjoyed her church, sewing, and loved the outdoors, taking walks with her husband quite frequently. Jennie's life centered around her family, she loved her husband, children and grandchildren very much.
Survivors include her husband, Albert, of Titonka; her children: David Sleper and wife, Elaine, of Columbia, Missouri; Sherman Sleper and wife, Dawn, of Omaha, Nebraska, Rhonda Ostercamp and husband, Mike, of Britt; Jane Peterson andhusband, Pete, of Crystal Lake and Alberta Nedved and husband, David, of Garner. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, one brother, John Rippentrop and wife, Della, of Titonka; two sisters, Irene Gray and husband, Alvin of Chili,Wisconsin and Iola Gray, of Kanawha.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Jean Sleper, and five brothers, Raymond, Jim, Ed, Irvin and Andrew.' <>
