JOHN SCHUTTER DIED TUESDAY
Had Been Sick Three Weeks With Sinus Infection and Pneumonia
Friends in Titonka and the surrounding community were shocked and grieved Tuesday afternoon when news came of the death of John Schutter. His illness started with a severe sinus attack which weakened him to such an extend [sic] that pleural pneumonia developed causing his death.

On March 1, 1923 he was married to Miss MarthaBruns and to this union three children were born: Evelyn, Harry and Vernon. Mr. Schutter was a well known and prosperous young farmer of German township. He was honest and industrious, a good neighbor and citizen who tended strictly to his own affairs and provided a hood home for his wife and children over whichhe presided with affection and kindness.
