"Fred Heyer, 72
Funeral services for Fred Heyer, 72, of Buffalo Center were held Thursday afternoon, January 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. William Peake officiating. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery withWinter Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Casketbearers were Clarence Penning, Dale Kramersmeier, George Hofbauer, Walter Aukes, Oris Graue and Alvin Gerzema. Marlene Krull was the organist and Alroy Krull was soloist.
Fred Heyer was born October 2, 1914 near Titonka, Iowa to William and Grace (Naber) Heyer.
As a child he moved with his parents to the Buffalo Center community where he attended the rural schools. When he grew to manhood, he farmed with his brother, William until he retired.
Fred passed away Monday morning, January 5, 1987 at Timely Mission Nursing Home.
He is survived by his brother William; sister-in-law, Anna; one niece; three nephews; an uncle, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers." <>
