"Funeral Services Services Held January 5 for Royal Armstrong, 63

Funeral services for Royal Armstrong, 63, of Buffalo Center were held Friday morning, January 5, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. Rev. Edward Tschetter officiated. Winter Funeral Service was in charge ofarrangements and interment was in Olena Mound cemetery. Mr. Armstrong passed away early Tuesday, January 2, at the Buffalo Center Hospital.

Pallbearers were Jim Gibson, Larry Bosma, Alvin Rippentrop, Tom Wilson, Gary Larson and Curt Bashans.

Royal R. Armstrong, son of Lester and Mary Armstrong, was born August 10, 1909 at Raymond, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Katherine Rhubee February 12, 1936 at Willmar, Minnesota at the First Methodist Church.

They moved to Buffalo Center in 1946 where he operated a service station and later added an auto repair service.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine; two sons, Charles and Robert, Buffalo Center; five grandchildren; a stepmother, Mrs. Rose Armstrong, Willmar, "Minnesota; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mabel) Johnson, Raymond, Minnesota, Mrs. Ed(Myrtle) Bauman, Kerkhoven, Minnesota and Mrs. Walter (Eva) Holmgren, Raymond, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vern."
