William, bp. 4 Jan. 1713, Largo p., res., Nether Largo, wit: Alexander Russel in Halton of Lundie, Wm. Service in Pilmoor, and many others [167]. Pr. of m. 10 Sep., m. 27 0ct. 1736. Wemyss p. (William of Scoonie p.), to Isobel Paterson, wit: James Paterson, John Henderson [166]. (also recorded in Scoonie p. with same pr. date) [169]. It seems likely that this m. refers to the ancestor, as their second son was named Andrew and their first . was named Janet, a variation of the naming custom. Their last known child, Andrew, was bp. 2 Feb. 1755, Scoonie p. [165].

It is believed that this m. relates to the ancestor, as his first son is named Andrew, and the witness, Wm. Archibald, at his m. was likely his brother, since Wm. was also of Scoonie p. when he m. in Wemyss p. in 1736. Also, John was a colier of Durie coal hill, Scoonie p., when he m., and this is the same locality where his father earlier was reported as a resident.
