Raymond M. Ludlum
Raymond M. Ludlum, of Ludlum Road, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at home.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Sommersett Ludlum; a daughter, Dianne Todd of Shallotte, N.C.; three sisters, Girlene Hardee of Dillon and Essie White and Julia Walton, both of Ash; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial with full military rites will be in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.

RAYMOND M. LUDLUM
ASH - Raymond M. Ludlum of Ludlum Road died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his residence.
He was the surviving son of seven children born to John Kelly and Lillie Carlisle Ludlum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ludlum and sisters Grady Watts and Hazel Quill.
He was a retired Sgt. Major with the U.S. Army. He was a charter member of the Waccamaw Fire and Rescue, and served as its first chief. He was a past member of the Brunswick County Board of Education and was an active member of the Brunswick County Republican Party. He was a Mason and a member of Zion Baptist Church where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Dot Sommersett Ludlum; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Rick Todd of Shallotte; sisters Girlene Hardee of Dillon, SC, and Essie White and Julia Walton, both of Ash; and two grandchildren, Brandon Hewett and Amber Todd.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2001, in the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte. Burial will be in Brunswick Memorial Chapel with full military rites.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31st, at the funeral home.
