Mrs. Lizzie Hardee Cox, widow of Samuel Cox of Conway, died at 4:30 amMonday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.C. Smith.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday from the North ConwayBaptist Church with the Rev. Billy Fallaw and the Rev. Roy Easleyofficiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbears were James Griffith, Brantley Richardson, Charlie Webster,Clyde Rabon, L.W. Gragg and Woodrow Long.
Mrs. Cox was born in the Hickory Grove section of Horry County March 17,1890, a daughter of the late Hosea and Helen Harrelson Hardee. She was amember of the North Conway Baptist Church and the WMU of the church.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. W.P. (Irene) Herring, Jr. Mullins,Mrs. J.C. (Betty) Smith, Conway, Mrs. Russell (Winnie) Graham, Conway;one step-son, Joe M. Cox, Miami, Fla.,; two step-daughters, Mrs. B.C.Sims, Pahokee, Fla., Mrs. Jimmie Mendez, Jacksonville, Fla., one brother,Archie G. Hardee, Conway; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Thompkins, Adrian, Mrs.Blanche Rhodes, Conway; 20 grandchildren and a large number of greatgrandchildren.
