L. Howard Phelps, 69, of 204 E. Langdon Road Science Hill. passed away Monday, November 28th, 2005 at his residence.
Son of the late George Wesley and Cora Keeney Phelps, he was born in Bent, KY on April 10, 1936 and departed this life on Monday, November 28, 2005 at his residence with his loving family present.
Survivors include; his wife, Betty Jane Alexander Phelps, whom he married on January 4, 1958; two daughters, Karla Beth (David) Hargis, and Krista Brooke (Keith) Pierce all of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Logan and Zachary Hargis and Bailey and Parker Pierce all of Somerset, KY; and one sister, Virginia (and Earl) Cottongim of Oakridge, TN, and a host of other relatives, friends and church family who both mourn his passing and celebrate his home going.
Howard was a retired press operator for General Electric Glass Plant in Somerset, KY, a member of the East Somerset Baptist Church and an Army Veteran.
He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 01, 2005 at the East Somerset Baptist Church, Burial will follow after the funeral in the Clay Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. L. Howard Phelps will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 and from 10:00 a.m. Thursday December 01, 2005 at the church until after services. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral details.
