Funeral services for Annie Ennen, 91 were held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Lakota with Pastor Donna Stevens officiating. Honorary bearers were Georgia Ricklefs, Jolene Drenner and CarrieWessbecker. Casketbearers were Gregory Brandt, Darrell Brandt, William Brandt, Marlin Brandt, Kevin Brandt, Rodney Stenberg and Tracey Stenbert. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery with the Winter Funeral Home of Buffalo Center in chargeof arrangements.
Annie Rippentrop Ennen, daughter of Olvert and Minnie (Sleper) Rippentrop was born May 17, 1916 at Titonka, Iowa. She attended country school through the eighth grade. On July 25, 1934, she was united in marriage to George Ennen at thePresbyterian parsonage in Lakota. Together they farmed around the Lakota and Elmore area. The couple retired in 1966 and moved into Lakota.
Annie was a member of the Presbyterian church and was involved in many organizations within. She was ordained as a Deacon in 1982. Annie moved to Blue Earth, Minnesota and was a resident of Nicollet Place before moving to St. Luke'sLutheran Home. She passed away there on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the age of 91.
She is survived by three daughters: Darlene Brandt of Rochester, MN; Margaret Westphal and her husband, Earl, of North Mankata, MN; Patricia Weringa and her husband, Gene, of Carver, MN; 10 grandchildren: Gregory (Anne) Brandt; Marlin(Nancy) Brandt; Darrell (Susal) Brandt; Kevin Brandt; William Brandt; Rodney (Pam) Stenberg; Georgia (Mark) Ricklefs; Jolene (Bob) Drenner; Tracey Stenberg; Carrie Wessbecker; 5 step-grandchildren: Sheila (Jeff) Ashland; Vicky Westphal;Ricky (Shari) Westpahl; Nicole (Stan) Niece; Jason (Nicole) Blaser; one sister: Gretchen (Ronald) Heetland of Titonka; and 2 sisters-in-law: Ada Rippentrop of Titonka and Marge Weidner of West Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in deathby her parents, her husband George in 1997 and by four brothers." <>
