In July 1892, she requests an honorouble discharge from her position because of illness.
On August 5, 1897, her discharge from the Public Service becomes permanent, with honour.
Her name also shows up in her husband's death certificate as "Hubertina Hariette Maria Naessens", but this is incorrect.
She shows up in the The Hague population records as having been born in 1868 rather than 1867. The municipal registry shows a large letter "P" stamped on the entry for their arrival in The Hague, together with the handwritten notation "Kol", meaning Simon de Graaff was retired and lived on a colonial pension. They registered as having arrived in The Hague from Batavia on 26 November 1914, living at Violenweg No. 10.
