Dec 3, 1781, at Thompson; m. Lucy Prince at Thompson, Feb 5, 1805 (church records say June 3, 1805) by Rev. Daniel Dow. She was b. in Thompson, about 1784, dau. of Abel and Lucy (Nichols) Prince. (See "The Genealogy of the Prince Family," by Frank A. Prince of Danielson Conn.) She d. June 22, 1849. Alpheus CORBIN used to operate a gristmill at the present Grosvenordale, Connecticut; also colored homespun yarn for families in that vicinity. Lived at or near the place long since occupied by John Coman, northwest of Grosvenordale. He was a captain in the War of 1812 (1812-1815) and served at New London. He d. Jan 28, 1853, in Thompson."
