Moses is listed for Military service in the French & indian war and in 1776 as a Sgt in Cpt Fitchs co of a Berkshire co Rgt Commanded by a Col. Hopkins. Proximity of the Corbins to the Roberts family on the early census in Plattsburgh is the only real connection to ANY Corbins. Even Huldah's death date is unknown, info given ranges from 1810 in Plattsburgh to 1850 in St Lawrence Co NY. the only one of Abraham & Huldah Roberts children to remain in Plattsburgh was son Levi Roberts who as a teenager during the war of 1812 was a dispatch rider and lost a leg. Abraham Jr. who was a Blacksmith left Plattsburgh in the late 1830s and reportedly died in Buffalo, NY in 1844. One dau Phebe Burnham went to WI All the other daus along with Abraham Sr wound up in Seward twp IL Winnebago Co, most buried in Twelve Mile Grove cemetery, Pecatonica, IL under the surnames Wells or Applin. The Wells families left St lawrence Co NY in the 1830's on their way to IL.
Tried tracking the CORBIN descendants in Whitehall & Granville, Washington Co NY and then to Rensselear Co but nothing solid to report there yet. just thought you might like to be made aware of a possible connection. If I can be of further help don't hesitate to contact me.
