ROBERT ADAMS [Jr.]
Notes:BIOG: FAMILY RECORDS OF THE ADAMS, MILLS AND HUMASON FAMILIES; Franklin Burewll Mills; privatedly printed, Chicago; September 1921; p 11-13."ROBERT ADAMS, who married PATIENCE HULL, was born in either Pennsylvania or North Carolina, it was said by one of his daughters, but the probability is in favor of Pennsylvania. He had seven brothers and sister as follows:ALEXANDER; JOHN; JAMES (a Presbyterian minister); MARY, who married Judge BAIRD in Ohio; MARGARET, who a Mr. Heath in Kentucky; Nancy, who married a Mr. Pinkerton in Ohio; Eleanor, who married a Mr. Smith. ROBERT ADAMS and wife[PATIENCE HULL] moved from Bardstown, Kentucky, to near Chillicothe, Ohio, in 1797. Their oldest child, MARY [MARY BAIRD ADAMS], was born in Kentucky. At the farm near Paint Creek, in the vicinity of Chillicothe , Mr. Adams had a mill, no doubt actuated by horse power. He built a substantial frame house, for part of it was still in use when Mrs. Keltie MCCOY visited the place a very few years ago. After his death, which evidently occurred in 1817, his widow managed the farm for some years with the help of her sons and daughters, all of whom were energetic workers."
