    "Veel droefheid brengt het heengaan van dit meisje, dat zo liefdevol was,, zo zacht en beminnelijk. Altijd was zijn bereid om te helpen en dienstbaar te zijn; weinig te vragen voor zichzelf en aan een ander te geven alles wat zij was.


    Met haar ouders was zijn thuis steeds een moedertje voor de jongere broers en zusjes in haar zorgen en offerbereidheid. Rustig was zij en bescheiden; steeds bezig en altijd bereid. En daarenboven: diep godsdienstig en deugdzaam.


    Hoe tragisch was dit heengaan, onweerstaanbaar gegrepen als door een moordende ziekte, knakte plotseling deze schone bloed, ons achterlatend met onoplosbare raadsels rond het mysterie van de dood".


     


    Vlak voor ze zou trouwen is Lina overleden. Het sterven van Lina is een traumatisch gebeuren in het leven vanmoeder geweest, maar ook voor de andere gezinsleven. Moeder bleef achter met zo veel vragen die tot het laatst door haar hoofd zijn blijven spoken."
