    Een eerekroon zijn de hooge jaren, als ze op de wegen van de gerechtigheid gevonden worden. Zij was zachtmoedig en goed voor eenieder, zodat zij door allen werd geacht en bemind; en er was niemand die een woord kwaad van haar sprak, zij was godvreezend en het was haar hoogste geluk, de wet van God te onderhouden. Kinderen wandelt zoo, als gij mij tot voorbeeld hebt gehad; vergeet de lessen uwer moeder niet. Spaart uw tranen, maar geeft mij veeleer uwe gebeden.
    Laat ons bidden: Wil ons gebed, zoo smeeken wij, Heer, genadig verhooren en aan haar, wie gij ijver verleendet in het bidden, de hulp uwer bescherming verleenen. Door Christus onzen Heer, Amen.
    Dat zij ruste in vrede. Amen.
