Henry was born about 1645 and is the son of [[Gardiner-38|George Gardiner]] and [[Long-161|Harwood Long]]. He died in 1744.
There is a record of a Henry Gardner arriving in Maine in 1653.COLDHAM,, PETER WILSON. The Complete Book of Emigrants: A Comprehensive Listing Compiled from English Public Records of Those Who Took Ship to the Americas for Political, Religious, and Economic Reasons; of Those Who Were Deported for Vagrancy, Roguery, or Non-Conformity; and of Those Who Were Sold to Labour in the New Colonies. This Henry Gardiner married first Joan, maiden name possibly Green. He remained in Rhode Island. Another Henry Gardner of Westchester, born about 1640, is being researched.
