:: Alfred William Savary, in his study of the name in America, remarks on it appearing in the Barbadoes soon after appearing in New England (circa 1635). He mentions Quakers among the Barbadoes and American Savary families. The Busby family were Puritans, and so were leaning in the direction of the Quakers.
