== Biography ==: Margaret (Unknown) Allen was born about 1546, according to Norwich city records which list John Allen, russet weaver, age 33, with a wife Margaret age 24, in the parish of St. Mary Coslany in Norwich, Norfolk, England.''The English ancestry of William and Anne (Busby) Nickerson of Chatham, Massachusetts, and of Nicholas and Bridget (Cocke) Busby of Boston'', by Richard L. Bush, TAG Vol 85 (Oct 2011), pp 243 - 244 Margaret's last name at birth is unknown - Allen was the surname of her first husband.
: John Allen was buried in St Mary Colsany parish on 15 Aug 1579, the year of the great plague. Two of Margaret and John's children were buried in the parish churchyard soon after their father John.
: Margaret (Unknown) Allen, widow, married Christopher Cocke, widower, 25 Jan 1580, at St Mary Colsany, Norwich, Norfolk, England. They both lost their first spouse in 1579, the year of the great plague. Christopher's four children from his first marriage, and Margaret's three surviving children from her first marriage, made seven children in the new combined household, to which were added later the children that Margaret had with Christopher, which included a daughter, Bridget Cocke, who married Nicholas Busby in 1605.
: Margaret was widowed a second time when Christopher died, and was buried at St Mary Colsany, Norwich on 7 May 1610. Margaret died about ten later years later, being buried at St Mary Colsany churchyard 2 March 1621. Her will is dated 27 July 1616, and proved 14 April 1621.
: Margaret left significant property to her main heir, her son William Allen, and to other heirs named in her will: daughter Bridget, son-in-law Nicholas Busby, and their children Thomas, Nicholas, Anne and Katherine.
