She was called Susan in the 1620 Visitation, resulting in much confusion. But she was Thomasin in the 1564 Visitation. She was also called Thomasin by [[Poole-118|Sir William Pole]], the Devon historian, who notes that his own daughter [[Pole-69|Katherine]] married Thomasin's son Thomas. She is named Thomasin in her children's baptism records.
