Maria Eva Goettge (Ketchey), daughter of Hannes Goettge (Ketchey), born in Zweybrucken, and Jacob Eller, son of Casper Eller, born in the Palatinate, were married on 11 Dec 1753 at St. Paul's Lutheran (Red Hill) KB, then in Philadelphia County, now in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.Everton, George B. Mary Elizabeth (her Americanized name) and her husband Jacob Eller migrated to Rowan County, North Carolina between 1756 and 1758. Most of their children were born there. She died, probably about 1781 when her youngest child was born, or soon afterwards.
==Research Notes==She may be the daughter Maria Elizabetha, of Johannes Göttgen, whose family arrived in Pennsylvania in 1751, listed as Göttgen, Johannes; Wife Anna Christina Hamm; Child Anna Christina; Child Maria Elisabetha; Child Maria Cretha; Child Johannes; Child Anna Elisabetha; Child Johann Friedrich. His will listed sons Jacob aged 17, oldest son John, second son Frederick; daughters Mary Eller, Catherine Legal (Segal?), Elizabeth Eller.
Eve, daughter of John Jacob Eller, was mentioned in his will, when he stated that the Widow Eury shall have the care of [his] daughter Eve, as she hath had the care of [her] since the death of [her] mother. Since his second wife was living at the time, Eve cannot have been her child, as Eve's mother was deceased. Therefore, I believe Eve was a daughter of Maria Eva Göttge and Jacob Eller.
