She wrote her will 8 Mar 1790 in Rowan County, North Carolina, in which she named her children John, Frederick and Elizabeth equal shares in her estate, except her daughter Elizabeth was to pay her son Frederick 11 pounds out of her share of the estate; she gave her grandson Christian 3 pounds; her granddaughters Christina and Elizabeth, daughters of Jacob Eller, 3 pounds each of them; granddaughter Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob Getchen 5 pounds; her granddaughter Christina, daughter of John Getchen, her own bed and bedstead and her black silk handkerchief; appointed her good friend John Getchen her executor, and to hold the 5 pounds given to her granddaughter Elizabeth until she becomes of age.North Carolina, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1665-1998; Rowan County Will Books Volume G page 48, frame 53 of 573, will of Christina Getchen She died 12 May 1790 and is buried in Union Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, Rowan Count, North Carolina.
