Reinhold Liwe, friherre Liwe, svarta Liwen kallad (son av Bernhard Liwe, tab 4), friherre till Eksjö, herre till Kurrisal samt Weissenfeld i Roetels socken i Estland. Född 1621-11-19. Kom i svensk tjänst 1640. Kornett vid Fritz Löwens regemente. Löjtnant därst. 1642. Kapten vid livgardet 1645. Major därst. 1646-04-17. Överstelöjtnant 1651. Friherre 1653-09-24, jämte brodern Bernhard Otto och farbrodern Jürgen och med Eksjö stad samt åtskilliga gods och gårdar i Småland till friherrskap, vilka gods förut blivit under Norrköpings besluts villkor donerade till hans farfader, översten Reinhold Liwe (introd. 1654 under nr 45). Guvernör på Ösel 1654. Tillika kommendant på Arensburgs slott därst. s. å. 27/6. Överste 1660. Generalmajor av infanteriet 1664-10-14. Död 1665-09-19 på Weissenfeld och begraven 1667-02-18 i Revals domkyrka. Gift 1:o 1646-03-02 i Stockholm med Hedvig von Wartensleben, i hennes 2:a gifte (gift 1:o 1634 med ryttmästaren Johan Rosencrantz af Granhammar), död 1657-03-20, dotter av furstl. Schaumburgska geheimerådet Simon Hansson von Wartensleben och friherrinnan Dorotea Petersdotter von Ganse, till Glemsted. Gift 2:o 1658 med Anna Margareta Zöge von Manteuffel i hennes 2:a gifte (gift 1:o med Georg Anton von Reich, gift 3:o med kaptenen Reinhold Wrangel, friherre Wrangel af Adinal, död 1702), begraven 1693-02-10 i Revals domkyrka, dotter av överstelöjtnanten Joakim Fredrik Zöge von Manteuffel och Helena von Horn.
