Notes about Peter Thibaut Heer van Boesinghe

Heer van Boesinghe en Vroedenhof, licentiaat in de rechten, raadsheer en hoofdman van de stad Ieper, in 1714 verheven in de adel van het Heilig Roomse Rijk (bevestigd in 1736). In oktober 1718 kocht hij voor 12.000 guldens de heerlijkheid van Boesinghe. Bij zijn testament van 27 januari 1730 schonk hij onder andere 700 guldens waarmee een eeuwig brandend licht moest onderhouden worden in de kerk van Boezinge. Begraven te Boezinge. Ze hadden 11 kinderen, waarvan er slechts vier in het volgende opschrift vermeld worden. In de kerk bevond zich een epithaaf in wit marmer met volgend opschrift:
“D.O.M. Ac piae memoriae nobilis familiae Dni Petri de Thibault, toparchae de Boesinghe, etc., qui Lunini de Lumine, lumen hic indeficiens fundavit in perpetuum, ut lux perpetua luceat eis; vivere desiit 20 Febr. 1738, aetatis anno 72. E chara conjuge nobili Domina Isabella Theresia Tronzon, quae annos 53, denascitur 30 Jan.rii 1723, undecim liberorum pater:
Horum septem cita morte meliorem nacti vitam, superstites extitere:
Petris Nicolaus, toparcha de Boesinghe, qui coelebs obiit 20 7 1752, aetat. 62;
Florentinus Hyacinthus, p.b.ter et J. U. L. occubuit 20 Maii 1762, aetat. 68;
Maria Theresia, religiosa, in abbatia divae Virginis Mariae vulgo “Rycke Gasthuys”, Gandavi;
Josephus Placidus Franciscus, toparcha de Boesinghe, Vroedenhoven, etc., conjugali societate junctus cum nobili Dna Maria Norbertha du Chastel de Berteveld, qui obiit 23 8 1774, aetatis anno 63”
