Capitein Jan Roper trouwt Nijmegen 7/17 Dec. 1634 Anna Sibilla van den Hatert. Hunne wapens met jaartal 1649 bevinden zich boven de deur van het kasteel Hattert. Roper voert: Doorsneden door een lijn en gedeeld door twee lijnen, waardoor zes kwartieren worden gevormd, het 1e, 3e en 5e in bl. een go. hertenkop en hals, het 2e, 4e en 6e goud. Helmt: een go. uitkomende leeuw, met de voorpooten een go. antieke kroon houdende.
