    Daniël kocht in 1911 de hofstede Nattenbek aan de Kadijk onder Tholen met ruim 30 ha hoofzakelijk in de Roolandpolder gelegen grond van luitenant-kolonel der rijdende artillerie Carolus Joannes Pické en c.s. te Arnhem voor ƒ 63.560,03. (notaris D. van de Velde 1911/144). Volgens de akte van verkoop konden de gebouwen ook voor afbraak worden gekocht. De gebouwen zijn toen blijven staan. In 1959 brandde de schuur af, die een rieten dak had, waarna de huidige gebouwen werden geplaatst.
