Thomas: Thomas Anton studeerde af als Mechanical Engineer aan Cambridge University. Gedurende de oorlogsjaren 1940-1945 maakte hij deel uit van de Royal Air Force in Engeland. Van 1947 tot 1954 woonde het gezin Van der Willigen-Roper in Zweden en verhuisde daarna terug naar Belgi (Brussel).
Van 1936 t/m 1934 was Thomas Anton werkzaam voor de Fa Humphreys & Glasgow Ltd, vervolgens van 1935 t/m 1940 voor Carborundum Co Niagara Falls. En na de oorlogsjaren vertegenwoordigde hij wederom deze firma tot 1968 aanvankelijk in Zweden, vervolgens in Brussel als Representative for Europe en na Thomaspensionering in Hythe (GB).
