    In 20 Apil 1618 is he chosen "hopman"; in 1619 he is "hoveling" of the professional brewers and in 1620 member of the sworn city council.
    In 1606 he askes a passport to go safe to Norden in Friesland, which was not permitted.
    Between 1601 and 1634 he is mentioned many times before the court of the city Groningen because of cases like thresspassing a corridor.
    Also he was involved in church because he was deacon at 1 May 1616 after he became member in March.
    They were not rich people because they borrow at 8 June 1615 200 daalder; in 1619 400 daalder (interest 6 %) - also he was running after his money because he asked to sell the land of people who had a debt with him.
    In his family he was an important man because he was a witness at several marriages.
    He sells his shares of teh house of his parents (Like all his brothers and sisters) at the northside of the A-kerkin 11 Februari 1623 to his sister Annegien; also a weadow is sold to his brother Luitjen at 31 May. All the time he needed money: was he living too luxerous or was he poor brewer. Once he got a fine not paying the tax of the beer.
    in 1624 he is convicted because he sold his nomination for convooimeesterschap at 400 cargld. He is heavely punished because he also lost his hopmanship; the 400 gld goes to an orphingae. He goes in appeal and becomes hopman again; his brother was punished for the same at a fine of 50 gld.
    He succeeded in Coevorden for the same job and moves with the help of the mayor and he goes there with his wife Jenneke.
    In Dokkum he lives next to his brother Harmen, in 1626 is a case about the fence between his land and a neighbour Hopper.
    Peter sells his part of land close to Papenvoort to his brother in law Johan Barelts Vuist at 120 daalder: he inhereted this peace from his mother Jantien.
    1634 he is "herendienaar" (special servant) and gets money for that. He asks for more money because probably he is ill: he dies before he gets an answer.
