Necum Teuch, and Mary Jane LOGAN, b. Spry Bay, and I have not found any other record that lists her mother's surname. However: a. There is only one Charles SMITH in the1838 Census who lives at Bay Islands and he has a wife named Jane. b. Charles SMITH m. Sarah Jane ABRIEL in 1835 and she dies as Mrs. Charles SMITH in 1904, so there is no room for another wife. c. There is a gap in the birth order for Charles and Sarah Jane (ABRIEL) SMITH bet 1836 - 1844 which Martha fills. d. Pope's Harbour, where we know that Sarah Jane ABRIEL was born, is right next door to Spry Bay, where Sarah Jane LOGAN was supposedly born.
