    Datum: Arie had op die datum het Nederlandse koopvaardij hoekerschip de Drie Gebroeders (kapitein Jan Vink) in zee geloodst. Hij zou worden opgehaald door loodsboot br. 5 (schipper L. Hordijk, verder bevond zich nog aan boord de zeeloods C. Burger). Op het ogenblijk van het overkomen is hij in zee gestort en verdronken. Het lijk werd aan boord genomen van de loodsboot (een zeilboot). Aan de commissaris der loodsen te Hellevoetsluis (A. Meulendijk) is dit ongeval gemeld. Arie is daarna naar Brielle getransporteerd om daar begraven te worden.
