Koningsbergen (Duits: Konigsberg officieel tot 1936 Konigsberg in Preussen en daarna tot 1946 Konigsberg (Preussen), tegenwoordig Kaliningrad) was een Duitse stad in Oost-Pruisen. Koningsbergen werd gesticht in 1255 en was van 1457 tot 1945 hoofdstad en zowel cultureel als economisch centrum van het oosten van Pruisen. Het was de meest oostelijk en noordelijk gelegen grootstad van het Duitse Rijk. De stad ligt in Samland, dicht bij de Oostzeekust tussen het Wislahaf (Frisches Haff) en het Koerse Haf (Kurisches Haff). Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd de verwoeste stad geannexeerd door de Sovjet-Unie en hersteld onder de nieuwe naam Kaliningrad.

December 26th 1814, a woman called Jantje (Jurjens) von Straussen (81 years) past away at Kimswerd. She was born in Konigsberg (East-Prussia) 1733, daugther of Jurriaan Christiaans von Straussen and Maria von Bergen, formely skippers at Koningsbergen. Their daughter Johanna Jurjens von Straussen, spouse of Evert Aukes. Evert was born in Kimswerd Feb.5th 1726, son of Aucke Everts and Sjouk Doedes. Johanna Sophia Jurjens von Straussen and Jantje Jurjens are the same person, according to the birth certificates of their children, baptized in Kimswerd. So Trijntje Everts, born in 1757 was indeed born in Konigsberg. Baptized May 8, 1757 in the Burgkirche.
