    Mr. Swartz, 68, of Boyce passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 in his residence.

    He was a Methodist by faith and a retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sgt. and a retired from D. L. Phillips Logging as a truck driver.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Daniel and Sara Jane McReynolds Swartz; brothers, Edward Swartz, Charlie Aubon Swartz, Lavert Swartz, Louis Swartz, and Ernest Swartz; sisters, Martha Swartz, Lyda Ruth Swartz, Ellise Swartz, Sarah Swartz, Faye Windham.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Iva Jeannette Barnes Swartz; son, James C. Swartz and wife Jan of Lena; daughters, Cecelia A. Swartz Futrell and her husband, Dickie of Dry Prong and Amanda C. Swartz White and her husband, Mark of Boyce; brother, Morris Swartz of Jackson, Mississippi; sisters, Dorris Meadows of Cross City, Florida and Altha Mae Jennings of Carterville, GA; grandchildren, David Futrell, Rory Swartz, Sarah Futrell, Joshua White, Andi Swartz and Brittany White.

    Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1450 Peterman Drive, Suite B, Alexandria, LA 71301.
