Johannes Petrus Alphonsus Maria de Visschers is op 28 augustus 1855

geboren te Goirle, werd molenaar en trouwde te Goirle op 26 september

1881 met Maria Adriana van Roessel. Zij was alda
ar geboren op 11 mei

1855 als dochter van Josephus van Roessel9, landbouwer, pachter van de

Leeuwenhoeve te Goirle, en van Margo Mulders. In 1883 kocht Jan de

Visscher een molen te R
iel van de familie De Werd, die in 1887 verkocht

werd aan molenaar Josephus van Riel uit Dongen. Datzelfde jaar leende

De Visscher/6500 van fabrikant Elias Peijnenborg voor de aankoop van

een molen te Gorinchem. Na enkele jaren in die plaats gewoond te hebben,

werd Jan molenaar te Eindhoven (Stratum). Vandaar keerde het gezin terug

naar Goirle, waar Jan in 1896 aanwez
ig was bij de boedelscheiding van

de goederen van zijn schoonouders, samen met Catharina van Roessel en

zijn zwager Adrianus de Brouwer, landbouwer en wethouder. Later werd

Jan molen
aar te Uden om vandaar voorgoed terug te keren naar Goirle,

waar hij op 3 januari 1933 overleed. Zijn vrouw overleed aldaar op 26

februari 1946.
