Jeanette Wilhelmina Francisca, als kloosterlinge, zuster Alphonse genoemd, was lid van de zusters Annonciaden te Berchem (Antwerpen). De zusters Annonciaden te Berchem ontstonden in 1848 uit de ann
onciaden van Veltem. Toenmalig pastoor van de Sint-Willibrordus parochie van Berchem, J.B. Cornet, trok naar Veltem om er zusters voor zijn parochie te vragen. Ze werden zelfstandig op 18 juni 1864 Ti
jdens de tweede wereldoorlog, op 17 november 1944, viel een V2-bom op het klooster en de scholen. 30 zusters vonden er de dood. In 1945 begonnen ze aan de heropbouw. Het verlies van 30 zusters was nie
t meer te compenseren. Doelstellingen van de orde zijn: opvoeding, onderwijs, catechisatie, hulp aan noodlijdenden en stil dienstbetoon.
